Back in 2008, I had this goal of developing an app but I just got busy with other things that I never ended up doing it. Well 8 years later, as a New Years Resolution, I’ve decided to commit to learning how to develop an app. I have a basic programming background… how hard could it be (hah).
2016 New Years Resolutions:
1. Learn how to develop an iOS App
2. Break a 1:30 half-marathon time
3. Break a 3:20 marathon time
4. Read 15 books
Read an article about whether or not AMD is still relevant in the computing business. It’s crazy how bad they fell in the past 5-7 years. Back in 2005-2007, their stock was red hot and they actually stood a chance in the dual-core CPU business when Intel’s Pentium D was a flop compared to the Athlon 64 X2. Then the Intel Core 2 came out and it was all downhill from there.
Interesting article on VGA/DVI’s obsolescence in the future. I never saw this coming, but it makes sense seeing how versatile HDMI is and such. I just saw that Apple is selling this amazing looking 27″ Monitor that uses ThunderBolt. Technology is insane these days, I wish I worked at a Tech firm sometimes.
Put on my geek hat today and installed a new CPU fan since my stock Intel CPU fan was getting dirty and making lots of noise. Took an hour or so to figure out how to install it on my mini ATX motherboard since this CPU Fan is huge. The pictures on Newegg.com were deceiving since the fan was a lot bigger than the pictures showed. I was scared initially that I couldn’t fit this hunk of metal into my computer case, but I managed, it’s a tight fit though!
